Why Rose Gold Works with Nacre

Mother of pearl carries warm pinks and creams in its iridescence, which is exactly what rose gold picks up. Against yellow gold the shell can look grey; against silver it can look flat. Rose gold is the setting that lets the material do what it is capable of.

Care

Nacre is soft and porous — softer than most stones you will own. Keep it away from perfume, hairspray and any cleaner, take it off before washing, and never soak it. Wipe with a soft dry cloth and store it apart from metal jewellery, which will scratch the surface.
