Hand-Wrapped, Not Cast

Each tree is formed by twisting copper wire around individual stone chips rather than being poured into a mould. That is why the branches sit differently on every pair, and why no two are identical — the variation is the making showing through, not a defect.

Choosing a Stone

Amethyst and green aventurine are the most wearable everyday colours. Citrine and red agate are the warm ones, and they suit copper best. Turquoise and rose quartz are the softest. Clear quartz is the neutral that works with anything.

A Note on Weight

At around 10g these are substantial for an earring. If you normally wear light studs you will feel them — they suit an evening rather than a twelve-hour day.

Care

Copper darkens with air and moisture, which on a wire-wrapped piece is often welcome: it deepens the contrast against the stone. If you would rather keep it bright, store the earrings dry in a closed pouch. Never soak them — water sits in the wraps and cannot be dried out.
